Gay Groups provide smaller groups of gay and lesbian travelers on mainstream sailings or in resort settings.
Both categories offer advantages and are very popular.
All-Gay vacations, since they involve taking over the entire ship or resort, can create a truly unique entertainment experience. Headliner stars are brought in to provide more than the standard resort or cruise company can. Combining "big name" entertainment and the all-gay environment can truly make for a vacation of a lifetime.
For many people it's a dream come true. For others, the thought of "being stuck on a boat with 1000 screaming drag queens" is a nightmare. The bottom line is that these vacations are enormously popular, and everyone generally has a great time. This unique experience shared with hundreds or thousands of other gay and lesbian people is exhilarating and invigorating in a way that no 'ordinary' vacation can be. It's great when holding your partners hand or exchanging a quick kiss is "no big deal"!
On the other hand, Gay/Lesbian Groups on mainstream cruises or with other resort vacationers are quite different from all gay trips. Instead of taking over a whole ship or resort, gay groups may range from 10 to 250 travelers. While they don't offer the complete gay experience, they can make it easy for you to find new friends of common interests, party connections, or future vacation companions.
Since they are smaller, gay groups can offer a much broader range of places, locations, and interests than the all-gay vacations. While all-gay vacations offer a limited number of itineraries and a few ships or resort experiences, gay groups can offer much wider opportunities. You'll find more interesting ships, more exotic resorts and more available dates with gay groups. If onboard or resort amenities, exotic locations, and great values hold the greatest interest to you, gay group vacations should be on your list of considerations.
