On an All-Gay cruise or resort vacation, the entire ship or resort is "purchased" for the week or more and converted to an all-gay experience.  On a large cruise ship, the upper decks around the pools are typically turned into a huge disco/dance floor under the stars.  In a beach resort, stages are assembled and shows, movies and other entertainers are presented.  Big names such as Harvey Fierstein, Betty Buckley, and Joan Rivers have graced these stages.  Famous DJ's, cabaret acts and other headliners are brought on board or into the resorts to help create these unique vacation adventures. Even the movies shown in the rooms might be changed to present an all encompassing environment. So, why an all-gay event?

• Camaraderie - There is nothing quite like it. We gays, lesbians and our families have such a knack at having a good time and experiencing life fully. When we get together the result is phenomenal. Together in a vacation adventure, older and younger, men and women, couples and singles, party boyz n girls and wallflowers, an atmosphere is created where differences become insignificant, and camaraderie prevails.
• Freedom - Whether you live in the center of the Castro, or live in rural Moose Jaw, Saskatchewan, experiencing the freedom to be yourself at all gay and lesbian vacations is refreshing and rejuvenating. Though we come from all parts of the world, all walks of life, we have the shared experience of being a minority. These vacations are a celebration of all that makes us individuals.
